The Traveler
He left his home, a dream in his heart
To find a better life, a brand new start.
He traveled far, across the sea
Hoping for a chance, to be free
But what he found, was not what he sought.
Misery and discrimination, are all he’s brought.
He lost his country, and his dreams too
In a world that’s ever-changing, and never true
He speaks like a poor man, with nothing to show
But the scars of his journey, hardships he does know.
He is just a stranger, in a foreign land
Fighting for a place, where he can stand
Sometimes frustrated and tired, of this endless fight
But can he give up? There is nowhere to go back.
Though the road ahead is long and hard
He keeps moving forward, with hope in an empty heart.
